Log in to an Organization

If you are part of a company that is on our Figma Organization plan, then you will be able to sign in to Figma via your company email address.

If the Organization has SAML Single Sign-On via Okta or Azure Active Directory enabled, then you will be able to sign in to your account using your company email address and password. This is supported on both the Web and Desktop versions of Figma.

If your Organization doesn’t have SAML SSO enabled, then you can still sign up for an account using your company email address and unique password.

Sign in using SAML SSO

Before You Start

SAML SSO needs to be set up by your account administrator first, so if you're not sure then we recommend checking in with your Account Administrator to confirm. 

If the domain isn't registered, you will receive an error message: "This domain is not configured to use SAML SSO. Please sign in with Google or a password" when you try to sign in:

You can then follow the  Sign up using your Company Email instructions below instead. This will add you to the Organization, but you not be added to any Teams within the Organization.

Sign in via SAML SSO is supported on the browser version of Figma, the Figma Desktop app and the Figma Mirror iOS app. Sign in via SAML SSO is not currently supported on Figma Mirror for Android; we recommend signing into Figma via your mobile browser instead.

  1. Head to the Figma website and click the Sign up button in the top-right corner:
  2. On the Sign up page, click the Sign up with SAML SSO link in the bottom right-corner:
  3. Enter your Email in the field provided. This will need to match the domain(s) registered to the Organization.
  4. Click Sign in. This will perform a check to ensure the domain is registered to an Organization.
  5. If the domain is registered, you will then be prompted to enter your Password.
  6. Click Sign in to complete the process and access your account.

Sign up using your Company Email

  1. Head to the Figma website and click the Sign up button in the top-right corner.
  2. Enter your company Email in the field provided. This will need to match the domain(s) registered to the Organization.
  3. Enter a unique Password.
  4. Click Sign in to complete the process and access your account.
  5. You won’t have been added to any Teams yet, but you will be able to view a list of any Open or Closed Teams within the Organization.

FAQ | Using SAML SSO 

  • Does SAML SSO work with the Figma Desktop App? Yes.
  • Does SAML SSO work with the Figma Mirror App? You can sign in using SAML SSO on the Figma Mirror for iOS app. At the moment, it is not possible to sign into the Figma Mirror for Android app via SAML SSO. We recommend signing into the Figma website on your Android device instead, so you can view your designs there. Google SSO is supported on both the Android and iOS version of the Figma Mirror app.
  • What happens to my existing files? Do they have been shared again? Everything will be exactly where you left so you will still have access to any Teams, Projects and Files you are a member of. Your Drafts, Recents and Recently Deleted folders are all there too.
  • I've signed up and can't see any of my previous Teams or Projects! It's possible that you have created an account that is separate from the Organization. Make sure you are registered using your company email address (domain specific).
  • Can I use my email address and a unique password instead of signing in via SAML SSO? If SAML SSO isn't enforced in your Organization, then you will be able to sign in or register using your company email address and a separate password. Click the Sign in with Google or a password link in the modal to switch. If your Organization enforces SAML SSO, then you will only be able to login via the SAML SSO process.
  • My name or profile picture has changed! Can I change this to something else? Your profile in Figma will match your details in Okta or Azure Active Directory (whichever provider your Organization is using). Your details will need to be amended by an administrator for your Organization - please contact them directly.
  • I've used a different work email, what do I do now? If you've signed into Figma using a work email that hasn't been verified via SAML SSO, then a new account will still be created for you in the Organization. You'll then be required to join any Teams you're a part of manually.
  • Will I be charged for using Figma? Memberships are based on your Account Type. Only Full Members (with Can Edit access) will be included in an Organization's billing. The Organization will be responsible for the Organization's membership, not the individuals. Memberships are charged Annually, with a quarterly statement that covers any additional Full members that have been added during that period. Figma Organization is currently in Beta; full Membership and Billing information will be available in late January 2019.
  • Can I change my Name, Email Address or Password in Figma? If you are a Member of a Figma Organization with SAML SSO enabled, then you will not be able to change your Name, Email Address or Password in Figma. We recommend contacting your Organization's IT department if you wish to have your display name or email updated.
