Publish a Library to an Organization

Who can use this feature?

🔒Users on the Figma Organization Plan
👤 Any Member of an Organization can publish Libraries to the Organization

You can build collections of Styles and Components in a File, or across many Files.

You can publish these Files to a Library, which allows you to use them in other Files.

In an Organization, you can publish Files to a Team or to the entire Organization.

I want to:

Publish a Library to a Single Team

  1. Open the File in the Editor.
  2. Open the Assets Panel in the left sidebar.
  3. Click the Team Library icon to open the Library modal.
  4. Click Publish next to the Current file.
  5. Enter a summary of your changes in the field provided.
  6. To publish to the Team only, leave the "Allow any member of Organization to access the file" box unchecked.
  7. Click Publish to confirm.

Publish a Library to the Organization

To publish a Library to the entire Organization, you will need to allow other members of your Organization to access the File.

You can share the File with the Organization by updating the File's Link Sharing settings.

You can do this when you first publish the Library, or once the Library has been published.

  1. Open the File in the Editor.
  2. Open the Assets Panel in the left sidebar.
  3. Click the Team Library icon to open the Library modal.
  4. Click Publish next to the Current file.
  5. Enter a summary of your changes in the field provided.
  6. To publish to the Organization, check the box next to Allow any member of Organization to access the file.
  7. Click Publish to confirm.
