Every now and then a subscription payment may fail. If a payment fails, Figma will attempt the payment again the next business day. During this time you'll still be able to access your account as normal.
If your payment fails three times, Figma will temporarily restrict your account. During this time you'll only be able to view your files and projects, not edit them.
To unlock your account, you will need to make a successful payment. To force another payment attempt, you can update your payment information.
Once you've made a successful payment, Figma will restore edit access to your account.
Tip: The most common causes for failed payments are insufficient funds in an account or an expired credit card.
Starting January 2023, the following changes will apply to customers in Russia:
If your Figma subscription is for business use and you have provided us your business VAT ID, Value Added Tax (VAT) will no longer be charged on your invoices.
If your Figma subscription is for personal use, no action is required. You’ll continue to see a 20% VAT added to your invoice.
You can add a VAT ID to your account by following these steps:
From the file browser, select the team to which you'd like to add a VAT ID.
Click on the Settings tab.
Under Plan and Billing, select Value Added Tax / Goods and Services Tax.
Enter your VAT ID.
From the file browser, select Admin settings
Click on the Settings tab.
Under Other, select Value Added Tax / Goods and Services Tax.
Enter your VAT ID.
Figma doesn’t have a field for you to provide a Tax Identification Number (TIN). If you’d like to add a TIN to your invoices, please send a message to our support team.
