Who can use this feature
Supported on the Professional plan.
Only owners or admins of team can cancel the team's subscription.
Caution: This article covers the process of cancelling a team subscription in Figma. If you don't want to use Figma anymore, you can delete your Figma account. This is a separate process. Learn how to delete your Figma account →
Feedback from the community is an important part of our development process at Figma. If you’re unhappy with Figma for any reason, we'd love to hear from you!
Please reach out to the Figma support team by emailing your thoughts to firstname.lastname@example.org. Or, by clicking the help icon in the bottom-right corner of the Figma product or help center.
You will need to cancel your subscription before you can delete a Professional team.
You'll still have access to your team files and projects until the end of your billing period. We recommend that you use this time to transfer, reorganize or export your files and projects.
At the end of your billing period, Figma will downgrade your team to a free Starter team. Starter teams are limited to 2 editors and 3 projects.
If you want to continue using Figma on the free Starter team, we recommend that you use this time to:
- Downgrade or remove extra Editors
- Manage and remove extra projects
- Download copies of your account invoices
- Move files to another team or into your drafts
- Delete your team (if required)
Note: If you have more than 2 Editors and 3 Projects when you're downgraded, Figma will prevent you from being able to edit your files. You will need to move files to your drafts, or another team, to continue editing your files.
Payments for Figma subscriptions are non-refundable unless you live in the E.U. or Turkey, in which case you are eligible for a refund only if you cancel your subscription within 14 days of purchase. To request a refund, send us an email to email@example.com and include your country of residence.
With that said, if for any reason you’re unhappy with Figma, please let us know. Contact us via the inside the app, or email firstname.lastname@example.org, give us a detailed account of what happened, and we’ll work with you to make sure you have the best experience possible.
Cancel your Professional plan
- Open the Figma file browser.
- Click on the team name in the sidebar and select the Settings tab.
- In the Plan and billing section, click the Cancel plan option.
- Figma will ask you for a cancellation reason. Select the most appropriate reason and click Confirm Cancellation.

You will have access to all your files and projects for the remainder of the billing period. At the end of your billing period, Figma will downgrade your team to a free Starter team.
If you have more than two editors or three projects, Figma will lock your team, which will prevent you from editing your files.
To get edit access to your files, you will need to reorganize your team members, files, and projects so they are under those limits.
