Figma currently has three paid plans (Professional, Organization, and Enterprise), and two products (Figma design and FigJam). Each product has separate pricing, but you’ll be billed for both on the same invoice.
Your invoice total is determined by the number of editor seats in each product. Editor seats include those with can edit
permissions to any resource, or an editor role in a team or organization.
Members of a team or organization can have editor roles on both Figma design and FigJam, or an editor role on a single product.
The cost of each editor seat is determined by your plan. Compare plans and pricing →
Plans apply to both Figma and FigJam products. You cannot have different plans for each product.
Tax and currency
Invoices are currently only payable in $USD. All invoices, references to totals and balances in the product, and any related documentation will always be in $USD.
Prices shown on the Figma website are in $USD and do not include tax.
Sales tax is only collected in certain areas of the United States and in Russia. If your billing address is outside those countries, you will not see any tax on your invoices.

Professional plan
Professional plans are set at the team-level, not account-level, so each team's subscription is managed separately. You can only pay for a Professional plan using a credit card. Upgrade to a Professional team →
This section covers how renewals, subscriptions, and invoice calculations work on the Professional plan. To learn about managing editor seats, billing details, and payments, check out the full guide on Billing on the Professional plan →
Renewal
Figma supports both monthly and annual subscriptions for Professional teams. Your renewal date will be the same day every month/year, on the date you signed up for the Professional plan.
For example: If you subscribe to the Professional plan on January 31st, your next monthly payment date is likely to be February 28th, and your annual renewal would be January 31st of the following year.
Monthly subscription
Figma uses the total editor count on your payment date to decide the number of seats to include in this month's subscription.
Figma won't immediately charge you when you add new Figma or FigJam editor seats. Instead, Figma will include those editors in your next monthly subscription. Manage new editors on the Professional plan →
You can switch from a monthly plan to an annual subscription at any time. Figma will cancel your monthly subscription and bill you for the next 12 months of Figma on your next monthly renewal date.
Team admins can view their next invoice date, as well as their current Figma and FigJam editor seats in the Billing tab.

Annual subscription
Figma will base your subscription on the Total design editor seats and Total FigJam editors seats on your team at the time you purchased your annual subscription.
When you add new editors seats, Figma will charge you a separate monthly subscription for those editors.
This means you have both an annual subscription and a monthly subscription. We call this "co-terming". You can add those monthly seats to your annual subscription to consolidate your billing.
Team admins can view their current monthly subscription and details of their annual renewal in the Billing tab.

Invoice examples
Monthly plan
Editor seats on the monthly Professional plan are $15/Figma editor and $5/FigJam editor per month.
For example, if Taylor's Professional team contains 3 team members:
- 2 members have editor roles on Figma design, and viewer roles on FigJam.
- 1 member has editor roles on both products
This means there are 3 editor seats on Figma design, and 1 editor seat on FigJam. The math would look something like this:
($15 x 3 Figma editors) + ($5 x 1 FigJam editors)
= $45 + $5
Invoice total: $50/month
Since those with can view
access can be added at no cost, they won't be included in calculating the invoice. Taylor's invoice total would then be $50.
Let’s say in the following month, Taylor invited 2 new people to a team file with can edit
access. They will count as editor seats on your next monthly billing date. This means that the next invoice will be $50 for existing editors, plus $30 for new editors, for a total of $80.
Annual plan
Editor seats on the annual Professional plan are $12/Figma editor and $3/FigJam editor per month, paid annually.
Let’s say Taylor's team upgraded to a Professional plan on January 4th. There are 5 team members:
- 3 members have editor roles on Figma design, and viewer roles on FigJam.
- 2 members have editor roles on both products.
This means there are 5 editor seats on Figma design, and 2 editor seats on FigJam. The math would look like this:
($12 x 5 Figma editors) + ($3 x 2 FigJam editors)
= $60 + $6
Invoice total: $66/month (paid annually, $792)
The team will be billed $792 on January 4th, which averages to $66/month.
Annual plan with extra seats
When Taylor upgraded their team to an annual Professional plan on January 4th, they purchased 5 Figma editor seats, and 2 FigJam editor seats.
A few months later, 2 new collaborators were invited to a team Figma file with can edit
access. One of them was also added to a FigJam file with can edit
access. This means:
- 2 people have editor roles on Figma design
- 1 person has an editor role on FigJam
These new editor seats will count as monthly seats on your next monthly billing date (the next 4th of the month).
($15 x 2 Figma editors) + ($5 x 1 FigJam editor)
= $30 + $5
Invoice total: $35/month
Starting on the 4th of the following month, the team will be billed $35 per month.
Co-term monthly seats to annual
It’s July, and Taylor's team is partway through its annual subscription, with 5 months remaining on the plan before renewal.
All editor seats purchased for on annual subscription are filled.
Because of this, the 2 extra editors on Figma design and 1 extra editor for FigJam were automatically put on a monthly Professional plan.
Taylor decides to co-term, or convert, all extra seats to the annual plan:
[($12 x 2 Figma editors) + ($3 x 1 Figjam editors)] x 5 months remaining on the subscription
= ($24 + $3) x 5 months
Invoice total: $135
The team is billed $135 once on their next monthly invoice.
Organization plan
Organization plans are designed for companies sharing resources across multiple teams. Organization plans are billed as a whole, instead of individually by team. This makes sure everyone is only included in the subscription once.
There are two parts to an Organization subscription: an annual subscription and quarterly true-ups.
This section covers how subscriptions, true-ups, and invoice calculations work on the Organization plan. To learn about managing editor seats, billing details, and payments, check out the full guide on Billing on the Organization plan →
Annual subscription
Figma calculates Organization subscriptions based on the total number of FigJam editor seats and Figma editors seats the organization has.
Organization admins choose how many Figma and FigJam editor seats they want when they set up their Organization plan.
Organization admins can view and manage the organization's subscription in Admin settings > Billing.
View and manage organization billing →
Quarterly true-ups
To account for any new or upgraded editors, Figma performs a true-up every three months in addition to the annual subscription.
Organization admins can manage new editors and decide if they need an editor role. If not, they can downgrade them to a viewer-restricted role to remove them from the organization's billing. After making any changes, they can review and confirm to lock the upcoming invoice.
If the organization has more seats than the previous billing date, Figma will charge them for any extra editor seats. This is a prorated amount, which covers that seat for the rest of the billing period.
During a true-up, organization admins will see a banner in the Billing tab prompting them to review new editors in the Members tab.

Invoice example
Yuna purchased the Organization plan on January 11th. The organization contains 15 members and 5 guests.
- All members and guests have an editor role for FigJam
- 15 have editor roles for Figma design.
The calculation for the organization's first invoice would look like this:
($45 x 15 Figma editors) + ($5 x 20 FigJam editors)
= $675 + $100
Invoice total: $775/month (paid annually, $9,300)
The organization pays a total of $9,300 on their first invoice, which averages to $775/month.
Within the first three months of the plan, Yuna added: 5 more members to the organization, but only 3 of them need editor roles on both products.
The organization's next true-up lands on April 11th. They will be billed accordingly.
[($45 x 3 Figma editors) + ($5 x 3 FigJam editors)] x 9 months remaining on the subscription
= ($135 + $15) x 9 months
Invoice total: $1,350
Yuna's organization is billed $1,350 on April 11th.

Invoice examples
After speaking with a member of Figma’s Sales team, you purchase the Enterprise plan on February 28th.
Your organization has 50 organization members and 5 guests.
- 40 people have editor roles for Figma design
- 30 people have editor roles in FigJam
The total amount of your invoice comes out to:
($75 x 40 Figma editors) + ($5 x 30 FigJam editors)
= $3,000 + $150
Invoice total: $3,150 / month (paid annually, $37,800)
True-up
Later that year, on August 8th, your company welcomes 5 new employees, consisting of researchers and designers on the UX team. They’re added to the organization in Figma.
Jesse, an admin of the UX workspace, assigns the new hires to their workspace. Of those new hires:
- 3 are given editor roles to Figma design
- All 5 are given editor roles to FigJam
Before the next quarterly true-up on August 28th, Jesse confirms these editor roles, which will count toward the organization's bill.
[($75 x 5 Figma editors) + ($5 x 3 FigJam editors)] x 6 months remaining on subscription
= ($375 + $15) x 6 months
Invoice total: $2,340
On August 28th, the organization is billed $2,340 once.
