Add, delete, and organize slides

Before you Start
Who can use this feature
Available on any plan
Anyone with can edit
access to a slide deck can add, delete, or organize slides
You can add, move, and delete slides in your slide deck. You can also create slide groups to help organize your presentation by speaker or topic.
Add, duplicate, and delete slides
Add a new slide
- Click New slide in the left sidebar.
- Select a slide layout from your current template or click the back arrow to search for a different template.
- Click on a slide layout to add a new slide to your deck. It is automatically added after your currently selected slide.
Duplicate a slide
- Select the slide you want to duplicate.
- Right-click and select Duplicate or use the keyboard shortcut:
- Mac: Command D
- Windows: Control D
The new slide is added after the slide you duplicated.
Delete a slide
To delete a slide, select the slide you want to delete and press Delete.
Organize your slides
Group slides
You can add slides to groups. This is useful for organizing slides by topic or presenter.
To group slides in slide view:
- Select the slide in the left sidebar.
- Drag the selected slide under another slide to nest it. An indented blue line appears, indicating that the slide will be added to a slide group.
To group slides while in grid view:
- Select the slide on the canvas.
- Drag the selected slide next to another slide to add it to a group.
Reorder slides
There are two ways to change the order of slides in a deck:
To organize slides in slide view:
- In the left sidebar, select the slide you’d like to move.
- Drag the slide up or down to reorder it.
To organize slides in grid view:
- Select the slide you’d like to move.
- Drag the slide up or down to reorder it. If the slide is part of a slide group, you can drag it left or right to reorder it within the group.
Note: You can also click and drag the blue handles to reorder slide groups.
