What's new from Config 2025
Config is Figma’s annual design conference for people who build products, where we bring the community together for two days of exciting product launches and talks from industry professionals.
In this article, we’ll walk you through each feature or product we announced at Config 2025. Some of these features are in beta, so we’ll indicate their availability and keep this article up-to-date if there are any changes.

Figma Draw, a new set of tools for more expression
Figma Draw lets you access illustration tools like brushes, transforms, and visual effects, directly inside a Figma Design file.
- Enhanced vector editing: Create more precise and detailed vector illustrations with new tools like shape builder, lasso, and multi-edit
- Text on a path: Create text layers that follow any vector path
- Pattern fills: Add patterns to a layer’s fill or stroke
- Brushes: Get creative with a variety of brush strokes
- New effects: Add texture and noise for a subtle grainy effect
- Dynamic stroke: Customize the frequency and the wiggle of strokes

Figma Draw FAQ
Figma Draw is available in Figma Design, and is accessed by clicking the Draw icon in the toolbar.
In Figma Slides, Figma Buzz, and Figma Sites, you can use some Figma Draw tools to add illustrations to your decks, boards, and websites:
Grid, responsive layouts made easy
Grid is a new option within auto layout that allows you to create two dimensional designs that flow both horizontally and vertically. Use grid to build responsive layouts like galleries, bento boxes, and common web layout patterns.
- New auto layout option: Select grid as an auto layout option to format with rows and columns.
- Span multiple tracks: Stretch across multiple grid columns or rows instead of being confined to a single cell.
- Fixed track sizing: Full control over width and height of columns or rows.
- CSS: Align to grid CSS in Dev Mode for smooth design-to-dev handoff.

Grid is available in Figma Design and Figma Sites. You can also access grid from design mode in Figma Slides and Figma Buzz.
Figma Buzz, create and share on-brand assets

Who can use this feature
Figma Buzz is in open beta.
While in beta, Figma Buzz will be free for everyone. Once Figma Buzz is out of beta, it will be included on the Full, Dev, and Content seats, in addition to our free Starter plan. We’ll notify you before that happens.
Figma Buzz enables brand designers to create and share on-brand assets, so teammates can grab what they need, when they need it. Buzz's simple design editor lets marketers or other teams create the assets they need quickly. Use Figma Buzz to make assets such as social media posts, digital ads, event materials, and more.
- Publish templates: Copy and paste from Figma Design to Figma Buzz, make necessary tweaks in design mode, and publish in Figma Buzz for your peers to easily access and use.
- Focused editing: Teams can edit select sections within published templates, ensuring they are always staying on brand.
- Freeform editing: Remove edit restrictions from a team template, start from scratch, or use a Figma-created template to edit freely and create exactly what you need. Riff and refine with design tools in a simplified editor.
- Creation at scale: Quickly create and edit thousands of assets at once. See them all in one view, regardless of size.
Figma Buzz FAQ
Figma Buzz is made for teams and individuals that want to share brand templates, quickly create on-brand assets at scale, or just want the freedom to riff and design in an easy-to-use tool.
Yes, Figma AI is available in Figma Buzz. People with Full, Dev, or Collab seats on paid plans will have access to AI features in Figma Buzz with certain limits.
Figma Buzz is available on Education plan accounts. Figma AI is not currently available for Education plan accounts from within Figma Buzz.
Figma Buzz is not available for Figma for Government accounts.
Figma Sites, your all-in-one tool for building websites

Who can use this feature
Figma Sites is in open beta.
While in beta, Figma Sites is available to all paid plans, with a limited Starter plan experience coming soon.
Requires a Full seat to edit and publish sites. Users with Dev, Collab, or View seats can view site files.
Design, prototype, and publish fully responsive websites—all within Figma with Figma Sites.
- Copy from Figma: Copy and paste your Figma designs into Figma Sites for easy migration.
- Templates: Get started with ready-made website templates.
- Assets & blocks: Pull in your design system and pre-built web elements.
- Responsive design: Breakpoints, text, and components can adapt for different screen sizes.
- Interactions: Apply interactions like marquee, scroll parallax, and much more with a few clicks.
- Preview & publish: See live HTML preview in canvas and publish designs straight to the web.
Figma Sites FAQ
In Figma, a user’s seat type determines which Figma products and functionalities they can access.
- In Figma Sites, a Full seat is required to edit and publish site files.
- Users with Dev, Collab, or View seats can view site files.
We're gradually enabling publishing capabilities starting on May 7, 2025. If you currently can't publish your site, it may not have rolled out to your account yet. We'll notify you in-product once publishing is activated for your account.
If you’re on the Organization or Enterprise plan, your admin may have turned off publishing capabilities for your organization.

There are no limits on published websites.
Yes, Figma Sites supports custom site domains. During the beta, custom domains are free of charge through 2025. Organization and Enterprise plans can connect as many custom domains as needed, and Professional plans can connect 10 custom domains. Custom domain limits are subject to change after 2025.
Figma Sites is not currently available for Education plan or Figma for Government accounts.

Figma Make, a prompt-to-code workflow to push your ideas further

Requires a Full seat.
Figma Make is an AI-driven, prompt-to-code tool that lets you bring ideas and existing Figma designs to life as functional prototypes, web apps, and interactive UI.
- Start with your designs: Bring existing designs to life with a simple copy-paste
- Point to prompt: Select individual elements and refine with a prompt
- Inline toolbar: Make direct edits to text elements, containers, and images
- Code editing: Make direct edits to the code generated by Figma Make
- Publish: Ship your idea as a fully functional web app
Figma Make FAQ
Figma Make will be rolling out to users with a Full seat on paid plans starting on May 7, 2025. Figma Make is only available to teams or organizations who have AI features enabled. Admins can toggle AI features on and off from their admin settings.
Figma Make is rolling out in the coming weeks on a team or organization basis, meaning it will become available to everyone in the team at the same time.
While in beta, Figma Make is offered as part of the Full seat with no additional costs. Usage limits will be in place and are subject to change. We will let you know in the product once you’ve exceeded your usage limit for a given period, and when your limit will reset.
Once Figma Make is generally available, you will be able to purchase access to higher limits.
Figma Make is not currently available for Education plan or Figma for Government accounts.
New Figma AI tools for your workflow

Figma AI FAQ
Each Figma product has an assortment of available AI tools. To see a chart of each AI tool by product, check out the About Figma AI article.
AI features and settings are not currently enabled for users who are a part of a Figma for Education or Figma for Government accounts.
There are two requirements to get access to AI features:
- Your account needs to be on a paid plan. Currently, Figma AI beta features are available to all paid plans. You’ll get notified in Figma when it is available for your account.
- Your team or organization needs to opt into AI features. Team admins and organization admins can opt their team or organization in or out of Figma AI features at any time.
Figma’s AI features are currently free while in beta, but usage limits may apply. When made generally available, Figma AI will become a paid feature. We’ll update you on pricing before that happens.
