In October 2025, Figma announced the acquisition of Weavy.
Now, Weavy is being reintroduced as Figma Weave. Here are some common questions about Figma Weave and what this means for you.

What is our vision for Figma Weave?
Founded in 2024, Figma Weave is trusted by cinematographers, artists, educators, and design teams around the world who believe in process over shortcuts. The company’s mission is to make creativity scalable without losing the craft, combining human artistry with intelligent systems—what Figma Weave calls “artistic intelligence.”
Figma Weave’s node-based platform combines multiple AI models with professional editing tools, and allows teams to generate, riff, and refine in a canvas. Every step of the creative workflow is visible, documented, and reproducible, so ideas don’t vanish into the scroll of a linear chat. The result is a next-gen creative workflow for professional teams: precise, powerful, and approachable, built for endless exploration and production at scale.
By bringing Figma Weave into Figma, we’re combining the power of AI with the creativity of Figma users. We believe the future of design and product development will be shaped at this intersection—and we’re excited to help our community explore it together.
What does this mean for me as an existing Figma or Figma Weave customer?
Nothing changes today.
If you are a Figma customer, your experience with Figma remains the same. If you are a Figma Weave customer, your experience with Figma Weave remains the same.

Are you sharing my data (AI training) or PII with Figma Weave?
No. Your personal data and any content used for AI features are not shared across platforms. We remain committed to privacy and data security—and will continue to be transparent about how data is used as we bring the platforms closer together.
Why do I have to pay for both Figma and Figma Weave?
For now, Figma and Figma Weave are separate products with separate billing. We understand that’s not the most seamless setup. Over time, Figma Weave will be available directly within the Figma platform—but not yet.
Will Figma Weave use my Figma AI credits?
No. Right now, Figma Weave AI credits and Figma AI credits are separate.
Because Figma Weave is not yet integrated into the Figma platform, each product manages its own AI usage and billing independently.
We’ll share more details about how credits may work in the future as integration progresses.
How much will Figma Weave cost and what seats and plans will Figma Weave be available to?
We haven’t made any pricing changes yet. We’re still learning from users and figuring out how Figma Weave fits best within Figma’s plans. Expect more updates as we define our longer-term plans over the next year.
