Who can use this feature
Available on the Enterprise plan.
Organization admins only
Restricting who can create teams gives organization admins greater control over team creation and organizational growth.
There are two settings for managing team creation:
- Anyone: Any member of this organization can create teams
- Admins only: Only organization and workspace admins can create teams
When team creation is limited to admins only, the Team button will be grayed out for members without admin privileges.
Update team creation setting
To change who can create a team in an organization:
- Open the file browser by logging in to your account at figma.com.
- If you’re in a specific Figma file, click the Figma menu > Back to files.
- Click Admin.
- Select the Settings tab.
- In the Team management section, select Creating teams.
- Choose a setting:
- Anyone: Any member of the organization can create teams
- Admins only: Only organization and workspace admins can create teams
- Click Save.
