Before you start
Who can use this feature
You can only create Projects in Teams. Users on Any team plan can use projects.
Only Editors, Admins and Team Owners or Project Owners can make changes to Projects
Make changes to your projects once you have created them. You can move projects between teams, as well as rename or delete projects.

Favorited projects appear in the sidebar in the File Browser, this allows you to move them between teams you're a member of. You can temporarily favorite projects to move them to another team.

Anyone who has explicit access to that project will still be able to access it - that is, anyone you can see listed in the sharing modal for that project. The same goes for files. Figma won't add them to the team itself.

Delete a project
If you no longer need a project, you can delete it. When you delete a project, Figma will move all the files in that project to your Deleted Files. You can find Deleted files in your Drafts.
Note: It's not possible to restore deleted projects, or the files within them. It is possible to duplicate deleted files, but this won't include any comments or version history from the original file.
- Open the project in the File Browser.
- In the toolbar, click on the arrow next to the project name and select Delete from the options:
- Click Delete Project to confirm.
- Figma will then:
- Remove that project from the team
- Add any files from that project to the owner's Deleted Files folder.
Only the owner of a file or project can delete a file forever. To permanently delete the files in a project:
- Go to the Deleted Files folder.
- Right-click on the file and select Delete forever.
- Repeat for any other files that were in that project.
Accidentally deleted a Project? We recommend that you duplicate any deleted files to your Drafts. Create a new project in your team and move those files into the team.
