What about AI-generated file data?
The method of generating file content does not impact its storage location. AI Output will also be stored in accordance with the organization's data storage localization configuration and, if localized, in accordance with the table above. Note that any part of a Figma file that is published (see "Published data") will not be localized and is hosted in the US.
Published data (websites, apps, blogs etc.): Any file data that is published or generally made available via the internet is currently outside the scope of Figma’s Data Residency Solution.
How do I request a data migration?
You can request a migration, and check where your data is localized, from the Admin dashboard in Figma:
- From the file browser, click Admin
- Click the Settings tab
- In the Other section, navigate to Data storage localization.
You can also migrate your organization’s data by getting in touch with our support team.
