Clear the Figma desktop app cache
If you experience an issue while using the Figma desktop app, we recommend clearing the app’s cache. This is a common solution for performance or technical issues that you're only experiencing on the desktop app.
There are two ways to clear the app’s cache: from the Figma desktop app, or from your computer's operating system.
Figma desktop app menu
If you are still able to access and use the desktop app, you can clear the cache from the Help menu.
You can access the Help menu from the application menu bar. This is the menu next to the Apple menu bar at the top of your screen, not a menu within the Figma application.
- Click Help in the Apple menu bar.
- Select Troubleshooting > Clear Cache and Restart:
You can access the Help menu from the toolbar at the top of your screen.
- Click the toggle arrow in the toolbar at the top right of your screen.
- Go to Help > Troubleshooting > Clear Cache and Restart:
