How do I get access to UI3 and AI features?
UI3 and Figma AI were announced at Figma’s annual conference, Config, on June 26, 2024. We launched an early access waitlist to get this functionality into the hands of users as fast as possible in order to get early feedback.
Due to high interest, the waitlist quickly reached capacity and all available slots are now filled. The closed betas are underway for those who gained early access.
We've moved from waitlist to a multi-week rollout. We're taking this approach so that we can collect your feedback and make adjustments along the way.
This means that UI3 and Figma AI are now rolling out gradually to all users—regardless of waitlist status, plan, or seat type. These closed beta features will be introduced independently over the coming months, so it’s possible for a user to gain access to UI3 before Figma AI.

Can you add me to the beta?
We are not able to manually add anyone to the UI3 or Figma AI betas at this time. We are rolling these out to individuals over the coming months, so please stay tuned!
Why did someone gain access before me?
Early access to UI3 and Figma AI has reached its capacity, and the closed betas are underway for those with early access. UI3 and AI will begin rolling out to remaining users over the coming months. It’s expected that any given Figma user could receive access to the betas at any time, including users who joined the waitlist after it reached capacity, belong to paid plans, or are admins.
Can you give access to UI3 and/or Figma AI to my entire team or organization?
We are not able to activate UI3 or Figma AI for entire teams or organizations, but they will be granted to individuals on a rolling basis over the next few months. These beta features will be introduced separately, so it’s possible to gain access to UI3 before AI.
All functionality remains consistent across the old Figma design and UI3, so teams can continue with daily operations without disruptions, even if some teammates are using a different version of Figma design.
