Figma AI is designed to help you work smarter and bring your ideas to life faster. It uses a credit system that is shared across all Figma AI features and products. Credits vary by plan and seat type:
- The Full seat unlocks higher usage and no daily credit limits. See below for the number of credits included with the Full seat on each plan.
- Users on all other seats (Collab, Dev, View) and users on our Starter plan currently have access to a lower number of credits that are subject to change. These credits are enforced daily as well as monthly.

We’ll notify you in the product once you’ve met your usage limit for a given period and when your credits reset each day and/or month. Unused AI credits expire at the end of each day and/or month and do not roll over.
Later in 2025, we’re planning to introduce the ability to purchase additional AI credits for power users. Until then, we won’t be strictly enforcing credit limits for Full seats; credit limits for users with View, Collab, and Dev seats will be enforced daily as well as monthly.
Please note: Credits do not represent legal tender, currency, or stored value, are not redeemable for monetary value, are not exchangeable or transferable among users, and can only be used in connection with the Figma platform.

Who can use each AI feature or product?
Access to different AI products or features depends on your plan and seat.
- Figma Make is our prompt-to-app product. Your seat and plan determine how you can use Figma Make.
- Figma AI image, text, and workflow tools can be found across Figma’s platform and are available to paid plans only. Your seat and plan determine which Figma AI tools you can use.
How do I get more AI credits?
The number of AI credits you have depends on your plan and seat type. If you want more credits today, you’ll need to upgrade your seat or plan.
Later in 2025, we’re planning to introduce the ability to purchase additional AI credits for power users. Until then, we won’t be strictly enforcing credit limits for Full seats, but limits will still apply for other seat types.
Why don’t I have access to all AI features?
If you’re missing AI features, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- You're on the Starter plan: Starter users can use Figma Make, but AI features within other products are only available on paid plans.
- Your team or organization has opted out: Your admin may have disabled AI capabilities. Please contact your admin for more information.
- You're on a Figma for Education account: AI features are not currently available on Figma for Education accounts.
- You're using Figma for Government: AI features are not currently available on Figma for Government accounts.
