Before you start
Who can use this feature
While in beta, Figma Buzz is available on all seats and plans.
This article walks you through the different regions of the editor and how to get around.
To learn more about what Figma Buzz is, check out the [Guide to Figma Buzz].
The canvas
The canvas is where you build, edit, and manage assets.
- Asset view: Slide view gives you a focused look at a single asset. This allows you to fine-tune your design.
- Grid view: Grid view gives you a bird’s eye view of the canvas, so you can view your entire set of assets at a glance.
- Bulk edit: A spreadsheet-style view of all your assets, where you can edit content across multiple assets at once.
To change views, use the icons in the left sidebar.
Navigate the canvas
Pan
Move around the canvas to reach different parts of your work.
- Mouse: Hold Space while clicking and dragging to move.
- Trackpad: Slide two fingers in any direction to move. Figma uses your computer’s default scroll direction settings.
Zoom
Zoom in to focus on a specific asset, or zoom out to see everything at once. Your current zoom level appears in the top-right corner of the right panel.
- Mouse: Hold down Command (on Mac) or Control (on Windows) and scroll down to zoom in or up to zoom out.
- Trackpad: Pinch two fingers together to zoom out or stretch two fingers apart to zoom in.
Left navigation bar
The left navigation bar contains the creation tools you'll use to build assets:
- Templates from Figma and your team
- Text tools and fonts for your assets
- Images you can upload from your computer or make with Figma AI
- Shapes for your assets
- Inserts from your team libraries, like icons, designs, and components
- Bulk edit to generate multiple assets from a CSV or XLSX data file
Right panel
The right sidebar is where you’ll find collaborative tools like template publishing, spotlight, export, and sharing.
Toolbar
The toolbar at the bottom center helps you navigate around the canvas, add and manage comments, and use Figma Design tools in Figma Buzz.
