What is Figma Buzz?
Figma Buzz enables brand designers to create and share on-brand assets, so teammates can grab what they need, when they need it. Buzz's simple design editor lets marketers or other teams create the assets they need quickly. Use Figma Buzz to make assets such as social media posts, digital ads, event materials, and more.
- Publish templates: Build assets using the creation tools in Figma Buzz or copy and paste designs from Figma Design, make necessary tweaks in Design mode, and publish in Figma Buzz for your peers to easily access and use.
- Focused editing: Teams can edit select sections within published templates, ensuring they are always staying on brand.
- Freeform editing: Remove template guidelines from a team template, start from scratch, or use a Figma-created template to edit freely and create exactly what you need. Riff and refine with design tools in a simplified editor.
- Creation at scale: Quickly create and edit thousands of assets at once. See them all in one view, regardless of size.
Use Figma Buzz
Figma Buzz is for teams and individuals that want to share templates made by their team, quickly create on-brand assets at scale, or just want the freedom to riff and design in an easy-to-use tool.
When it comes to collaborating in Figma Buzz, there are two different workflows: people who create and publish templates, like a brand design team, and people who use and edit those templates, like a marketing team.
Find your way around
If you’ve used Figma Design before, the Figma Buzz editor may feel familiar. The Figma Buzz editor has five distinct regions:
Canvas
The canvas is where you build, edit, and manage assets. The canvas has two views:
- Asset view: Slide view gives you a focused look at a single asset. This allows you to fine-tune your design.
- Grid view: Grid view gives you a bird’s eye view of the canvas, so you can view your entire set of assets at a glance.
To change views, toggle between and in the left navigation bar.
Navigate the canvas
To navigate around the canvas, you can pan and zoom when in Grid view.
Pan around to move
Pan to view different parts of your slide deck.
- Mouse: Hold Space while clicking and dragging to move.
- Trackpad: Slide two fingers in any direction to move. Figma uses your computer’s default scroll direction settings.
Zoom in and out
Zoom in to take a close look at a specific slide, or zoom out to see your full deck. Your current zoom level is displayed in the top-right corner of the right sidebar.
- Mouse: Hold down Command (on Mac) or Control (on Windows) and scroll down to zoom in or up to zoom out.
- Trackpad: Pinch two fingers together to zoom out or stretch two fingers apart to zoom in.
Navigation bar
The navigation bar in Buzz is a constant part of the Figma Buzz interface that includes the following creation tools used to build assets:
- Templates from Figma and your team
- Text tools and fonts for your assets
- Images you can upload from your computer or make with Figma AI
- Shapes for your assets
- Inserts from your team libraries, like icons, designs, and components
Right panel
The right sidebar is where you’ll find collaborative tools like template publishing, spotlight, export, and sharing.
Toolbar
The toolbar at the bottom center helps you navigate around the canvas, add and manage comments, and use Figma Design tools in Figma Buzz.
Build your asset
Build and create assets using simple click-and-drag creation tools in the navigation bar, or use Figma Design tools in Figma Buzz to make more fine-tuned edits to design properties.
Create an asset from templates
Buzz templates help you quickly create assets—such as social media content, ads, one-pagers, and more—from a pre-made design.
There are two type of templates:
- From Figma: A collection of templates curated by the Figma team. Use Figma-made templates if you have an individual use-case you’d like to explore.
- From your team: Templates made by your team or organization. Use templates made by members of your team to ensure you stay consistent and on brand.
Browse through available templates to find one that fits your needs then replace the placeholder elements with your own content or style.
You can use multiple templates within a single file.

Create an asset with freeform editing
You can add, move, and delete assets in your Figma Buzz file. You can also create asset rows to help organize your work.
When you create a new Figma Buzz file, you’ll see the template picker and options to start from a blank asset. Once you have an asset on your canvas, you can:
- In Asset view, click New asset in the left sidebar to choose a new blank asset format or a template
- In Asset view, click to add another asset using the same dimensions as the last selected asset
- In Grid view, click next to an asset to add a new asset of the same size
From here, you can edit assets with the suite of tools in Figma Buzz and switch to Design mode to leverage Figma Design’s tools.
Collaborate on and present your assets with others
As with all of Figma’s products, collaboration is built into the Figma Buzz experience. Use the tools in the right sidebar to spotlight yourself and present your assets, export them, or share the file with your team.
