offset
vector
You can use offset vector to change a vector layer’s size by adding or removing space evenly around its edges. This is useful for creating icons, illustrations, logos, and more.
Offset vector is a destructive action, meaning that once a vector layer is offset, you won’t be able to revert it back to the original shape. If you offset a vector by mistake, you can use the file’s version history to restore a previous version or use the undo shortcut:
- Mac: Command Z
- Windows: Ctrl Z
Offset a vector layer
You can use offset vector on any vector layer.
- Select the vector layer you wish to modify.
- Click Offset vector and configure the settings:
- Amount: Use this to control the offset distance. A positive number extends the path beyond the original shape. A negative number contracts the path inside the original shape.
- Join: Choose between a square or round join style.
- Click the check or press Enter to confirm the change.
