Create a Community profile

Who can use this feature
Supported on any team or plan.
Anyone with a Figma account can create a Community profile.
Anyone on any plan can create and update team profiles.
Organization admins can create and update the Community profile for an organization.
Community profiles allow you to browse and interact with the Figma Community. You don't need a profile to duplicate Community files or install plugins or widgets. You do need a profile to:
- Publish files, plugins, and widgets
- Like or comment on files, plugins, and widgets
- Follow other creator profiles
Create individual Community profiles for your Figma accounts, or use one profile across all your Figma accounts.
Note: If you already have a Community profile, you can connect it to your other Figma accounts. Manage Community profiles and settings →
Admin profiles
If you're an admin of a team or organization, you can create and manage a Community profile for that team or organization. This allows you to manage resources and browse the Community as that team or organization. Team or organization Community admins →
Some Community actions are only available on specific profile types. This is something to take into account when deciding what kind of profile to create. Learn more about Community publishing permissions →

Register a profile handle
Every Community profile has a unique profile handle, which Figma uses to identify each creator in the Community. Register a profile handle to create a profile and join the Community.
You can use up to 15 alphanumeric characters in your handle, including underscores _
. Figma will check if a handle is still available. If it's not available, Figma will ask you to choose another.
Tip: In some cases, you may be able to claim a profile handle that’s in use on an inactive account. To inquire about claiming a handle, contact Figma Support.
