In all supported products, such as Figma Design and Figma Make, the Figma agent can search the web and fetch content from URLs, which helps ground your work in real-world, up-to-date information.
By default, web search is enabled for users in your organization. If your organization requires stricter control over AI capabilities, you can disable web search at the organization level. This removes the web search option from the Figma agent for all users.
Disable web search for your organization
When web search is disabled:
- Members cannot use web search or web fetch in the agent
- For Figma Make, the Access to live web data toggle is removed from the Chat preferences section of Make settings for all members
To disable web search:
- From the file browser, click Admin.
- Select the Settings tab.
- In the AI section, locate Web search and toggle it off.
Note: Changes to this setting are captured in your organization's activity log.
