Teams are designated spaces for projects and files. Use teams to collaborate with others, or to organize your work.
Any team member can invite collaborators to a team.
You can only invite someone at a permission level equal to or lower than your own:

Invite by email
If you know the person’s email address, you can send a direct invite.
- Open the file browser by logging in to your account at figma.com.
- If you’re in a Figma file, click the Figma menu > Back to files.
- Navigate to the team page.
- On the Starter or Professional plan, select All projects from the left sidebar.
- On the Organization or Enterprise plan without workspaces enabled, select All teams from the left sidebar. Then, select a team.
- On the Enterprise plan with workspaces enabled, select All workspaces from the left sidebar. Then, select a team from the Your teams tab.
- Click Share.
- Enter the person’s email address and set their team permissions.
- Click Invite.
They’ll get an email and an in-app notification (if they already have a Figma account) prompting them to join the team.
Invite with a team link
The Starter and Professional plans consist of a single team. On these plans, you can invite others to join the team via a team link.
Anyone who has access to this link will be able to join your team at any time.
- Open the file browser by logging in to your account at figma.com.
- If you’re in a Figma file, click the Figma menu > Back to files.
- Select All projects from the left sidebar.
- Click Share.
- Select the Invite by link tab.
- Set team permissions for those invited via the link.
- Click Copy link and share it with others.
On the Professional plan, users invited via team link are given a free View seat by default. You can change a user’s seat at any time.
Manage team invitation links
Team admins can turn invite links on and off, or reset them.
Resetting a link will:
- Create a brand-new invite URL
- Immediately void any old links, so they can no longer be used
You can also turn off team invite links altogether to help keep your team secure and help you ensure that only intended members can join.
- Open the file browser by logging in to your account at figma.com.
- If you’re in a Figma file, click the Figma menu > Back to files.
- Select All projects from the left sidebar.
- Click Share.
- Select the Invite by link tab.
- Click Team invite link settings.
- Click Reset invite links to expire the current link and generate a new one.
- Click Turn off invite links to turn off invite links. Members can still invite collaborators by email.
Troubleshooting
Your team admin may have turned off invitation links. Ask a team admin to enable them.
Being in a team doesn’t guarantee access to all projects or files in that team. Check their file and project permissions.
