Who can use this feature
Available on the Organization and Enterprise plans
Any member of an organization can publish internal shaders to the organization
Only organization admins can publish public plugins to an organization profile. Publish shaders to the Figma Community.
Organizations often have internal tools and systems, with private information or data, that can't be shared outside the organization. Internal shaders allows members of the organization to use organization-specific shaders, without having to share them with the rest of the Figma Community.
- Any member of an organization can make and share an internal shader
- Only team admins can publish shaders to the team's Community profile
- Only organization admins can share shaders to the organization's Community profile
Publish internal shaders
To publish an internal shader to your organization:
- Open the workspace where your shaders lives.
- From a Figma Design file, navigate to the Tools tab in the navigation bar on the left and locate your shader.
- You can narrow your search by using the Source filter and selecting Created by you.
- Next to the shader, click and select Publish.
- From the modal, select Publish internally.
- In the Describe your shader section:
- Set an icon for your shader (Recommended size 128 x 128 px)
- Enter a name for your shader
- Provide a description that describes what your shader does and the features it provides
- Click Publish to share your shader to your organization.
Internal shaders don't need to go through the review process before they are available to use.
View internal shaders
You can find and use shaders that are private to your organization in the following environments:
- From a design file in your organization: Navigate to the Tools tab in the navigation bar on the left. Open the Source dropdown and filter by From <your organization>.
- From your file browser: click Resources and select the Shaders pill.
Transfer ownership
If the original publisher has left the organization and you need to transfer ownership of a internal shader, contact the Figma Support team.
