Delete your Figma account
In an Organization? An Organization Admin will need to remove you from the Organization.
Warning: Deleting your account will delete any files you have created using the account. This includes any files in your Drafts, and files you have shared with others. This process can not be reversed.
Before you cancel
There are a few things we recommend you do before cancelling your account.

If you have a paid plan, you'll need to cancel your professional subscription before you can delete your account. We also recommend downloading your Figma invoices before cancelling, so you have a copy of these for accounting purposes.

Figma uses a proprietary file format (.fig), which can only be opened in Figma. If you have files and assets that you'd like to keep, you can export these from Figma. Learn how to export assets from Figma →

If you are the owner of any shared resources, we recommend you transfer ownership of these resources. If you don't transfer ownership, Figma will delete these files for you and any collaborators.
Caution: Figma will delete any files that are in your Drafts upon account deletion. If you want to transfer ownership of files in your Drafts, you will also need to move those files to another team.
Delete your account
If you need to delete or cancel your account for any reason, you can do this directly from the Account Settings page.
- Click on your name in the file browser.
- Select the Settings page.
- Scroll down to the Account section at the bottom of the page.
- Click Delete Account to start the process.
- Figma will ask you for a reason why you're leaving Figma. Follow the on-screen prompts to cancel and delete your account.
Request to delete support information: Interactions that you've had with the Figma support team may not be deleted on account deletion. This information may also be available if you create a new account under the same email address. If you'd like us to delete your support requests, please reach out to our support team.
Refund policy
By default, we do not provide refunds for cancelled or unused accounts. We do understand that there are some circumstances that are outside of your control.
- Annual subscription: If you signed up for the annual plan and have changed your mind, please contact us within 30 days to arrange a refund.
- Monthly subscription: For our monthly plan, please contact us within 72 hours of payment.
