How billing works at Figma
Your Figma subscription cost is determined by two key factors: your plan type and the number of Full, Dev, and Collab seats in your plan. You have access to these seats for the duration of your billing term.

Select a plan
First, you’ll need to create an account and select which plan fits your needs.
- Create a Figma account: Get started with Figma by creating an account.
- Figma plans and features: See an overview of the features available on each of Figma’s plans.
Manage people and their seats
Once you’ve chosen a plan, you’ll want to consider which products your individual users need access to and how you'll manage new users joining your Figma team or organization.
- Manage seats in Figma: Learn about the different seat types, how assign a seat type to each individual user, and how to change a user’s seat type.
- Manage seats via SCIM: Organizations using SAML SSO can use SCIM to manage user seats in Figma.
- Request a seat upgrade: Learn how users can request seat upgrades from admins.
You'll also decide how to manage incoming seat requests.
- Set approval settings for new seats: Choose if new users can automatically get a new seat when they join, or if you’ll require manual approvals. By default, you can automatically approve requests only if you have pre-purchased seats available.
- Approve or decline seat requests: Review how to approve or decline new seat requests that require manual approval.
- Seat upgrade notifications: Get notified when user seats are upgraded via automatic approval.
