Before you delete your account
There are a few things you need to do before deleting your Figma account.
Figma uses proprietary file formats (.fig and .jam), which can only be opened in Figma. If you have files and assets that you'd like to keep, you can export these from Figma.
If you're moving to another design tool, you may be able to copy and paste the contents of your files between tools.
If you are the owner of any teams or projects, you need to transfer ownership of these resources before you delete. If you don't transfer ownership, Figma will delete these files for you and any collaborators.
If you want to keep any files in your drafts, you will need to move and transfer ownership of those files to someone else.
If you want to permanently delete any files that were in your account, you need to delete these files before deleting your account.
Caution: Deleting your account will prevent you from being able to access any files you have created using the account. This includes any files in your drafts and files you have shared with others. This process can not be reversed.
