Who can use this feature
Supported on Starter, Education, and Professional plans.
Only team admins can manage a team's admin settings and billing.
Team admins can manage every aspect of their team from the team page. They can manage members and permissions, libraries, billing, and other team settings.
Team admins can manage aspects of the team in the Settings tab.
Team name or icon
Select Change team name to update the team name. Enter a new name in the field and click Enter to save.
Select Change team icon to upload a new image or icon for your team. The minimum size for avatars is 500px by 500px.
Tip! You can also rename the team from the sidebar in the file browser. Right-click the team name, enter a new name in the field, then press Enter to save.
Community profile handle
Select Set team profile handle to claim or update the profile handle for the team in the Figma Community.
Admins can also add a description for the team. This allows you to communicate any useful information about the team, like a purpose or mission, to anyone who has access to the team page.
- Select the team in the sidebar to view the team.
- Click Add a Description under the team name.
- If the team already has a description, you can click the existing description to edit.
- Click outside of the field to apply your changes.
Delete a team to remove the team, and any files and projects. Figma will remove the team from the file browser for everyone in your team and send files to the Deleted tab of your file browser.
Figma will also send an email to confirm the team was deleted. This email includes a link to restore the team. You have 28 days to restore a deleted team before Figma deletes it permanently.
Team admins can manage team members in the Members tab.

Figma will designate the person who originally created the team as the owner. You will need to transfer ownership of the team to a new owner. Learn more about owners →
Only the current owner can transfer the ownership of the team to another member. They can transfer ownership to any existing team member, including a member with
Can view access.
Caution: This process only changes the ownership of the team, it won't update the billing details for the team's subscription. If you also pay for the subscription, you will need to update the billing details for your team, before you transfer ownership.
- Open the team in the file browser and select the Members tab.
- Click the arrow next to their Team permissions and select Owner from the options.
- Figma will ask you to confirm the transfer. It's not possible to undo this action, but the new owner can choose to transfer ownership again. Click Transfer ownership to confirm.
- Figma will update the member to the owner and give the previous owner an admin role on the team.
Note: Figma won't remove the previous owner from the team, they will stay on the team as an Admin. The member can leave the team themselves, or another Admin can remove them.
Plans and billing
Manage the team plan and subscription from the Settings and Billing tabs. In the Plan and billing section you can manage aspects of your plan and billing details.
Upgrade to the Professional plan to share files, projects, and component libraries with others.
Upgrade to the Organization plan to scale design with confidence. You'll have access to all the Figma features you know and love, as well as additional features and access controls.
Add annual seats
On the Professional plan, you can choose from a monthly or annual subscription. Team admins can add, manage, or renew their annual subscription from this setting.
Change billing method
If the original payee has left the team, or you want to change the card linked to your team, you can change the payment method. You can only pay for Figma subscriptions with a credit card or a debit card that supports online transactions.
Change billing contact
Figma sends billing updates and notifications to the billing contacts for a team or organizations. Team admins can add or update billing contacts for a team.
